Me
Brought together as a bunch of molecules I saw life on this planet at first the 13th of october 1974.
For the last 13 years music inspired me in getting my things done. Long time ago I started plucking my fathers old accoustic untill I spent all my savings on an electric guitar. By the time I learned to play, I started collecting all kinds of toys that make noize.
Belgium, capital of Brussels has allways been my homebase. Moving from a small village to a small city (Ghent) really shook up my life. A welcome fact from this point of view.

The bigger part of my teenages I was obsessed by the sixstring. I was playing in bands that never would make it further than crossover anything with punk, because to many of us could not play there instrument descently. Later on I could play in some real local bands, doing covers of all sorts from laughin at George Michael over the Black crowes to the Commitments.

As I overcame the idea of becoming a rockstar when I was sixteen, the main aim is to survive. That's why the budget I work with is as minimal as an early Plartikmanrelease. (Check my kitlist on the electronix-page). But what Beck proofs in rock'n roll music( and far beyond), many others have proven in various dance-scenes. You don't need to rob a bank to make a nice track. It's all in the mind. Even tape hiss and noize can be put in it's right place. It can twist your ears if you send it through analogue oscilating machinery.

I can't hide behind a certain sub-culture-scene. That's for professionals. Music, to me is a vast domain of freedom. You can't just grab a sound and baptise it as the next logical step in cultural progression. That's what makes any market ridicule. It is mostly in the mixture of different sounds and genres that I find most sufficience. Just because you combine a few sounds in a rythm doesn't make you king of sound. Allthough the mind is easy to trick most of the time.

The now is turning me into doing
As I recently gave form to a project, together with a Belgian Rock'a'fellow, Tamuraj, the interest in gigging started growing again.
Not only for this project that contains mostly dancable beats and a sniff of abstract groove, but I also feel a lot about gigging solo because there I can give xpression to some of the most weird licks in life. Not that these things should take place at Lolapeloser, but dark 'n smokey chillout's and Lounges can do. Therefor offcourse, you can contact me.

Do Did Done
The earlier public xposures you've missed were mostly in small places in the area of Ghent. The next show we play as Jivatman and Tamuraj is on the 21th of July @ Unit, Erpelsteeg-Ghent! (Isn't an 'erpel' a mail duck?)
More freaking beatz from R.D.Shock are Xposed @ Kosmic 27th of June and @ Boterdaelefeesten 6/7/2002.

The 9th March, it was the first time to dig up the flightcases. We (Tamuraj & Jivatman) had to play a set at the FunkyCity-party in the Balzaal @ Vooruit.
We plaid at 4.30 in the morning. The ppl that were still there at that time, were all well-done, but they staid and kept bumpin and humpin to the beat.

We took out the RS7000 with a fine collection of samps and the CS1X as main intsruments. For the gig in Kosmic(22/5) we felt like putting in a more presentable note by playing actual instruments while giggin', like in the good old days. Tamy on the piano and me rockin' the sixstring. In the meantime an analogue rackmount VIRUS also joined the club. We are also looking for a third instrumentalist-soloist. Anyone that blows cupper in a jazzy way can contact for a try-out

Many thanks to funkycity, check there homepage below for partyinfo.
